Tiko's face

Tiko Venne
(main con: banquine, standing, experiments)

Introduced to standing acrobatics by his parents at the age of 8, Tiko falls in love with the circus instantly.

Graduated from the Circus School (ESAC) in Brussels in 2001. He teaches acrobatics in Brussels (Circus School of Brussels, Espace Catastrophe and others) until 2005.

In 2005 he moved to France with Naima Tricha to found the company (Rêve)². Together they create and play several contemporary circus shows for the next 12 years. Teaching remains a passion, and Tiko gives multiple courses throughout Europe.

Kat&Jared in flying suspense

Kat & Jared
(pre-con & main con: standing, ...)

We are Kat (FIN) and Jared (AUS), two Circus Artists/teachers with a serious love for dynamic partner acrobatics, graduates of Circus School Carampa, Madrid.

We are both passionate about training and refining skills, to make them look easy and effortless as well as sharing what it takes to make this happen. Sensitivity, connection and confidence are the core elements for all our partner movement, linking together partner acrobatics, dance, and acroyoga.

Our combined expertise comes from Circus School Carampa Madrid, Masters Degree in Education, AcroYoga Montreal TT, Hanuman Acrobatic Yoga TT, Yoga TT and more.

Sebastian Fries
(main con: icarian games)

My first Acrobatic experience reminded me of my childhood. Playing in a light- and joyful way with like minded people. Seeing people smile and laugh like kids is one of the things that hooked me to the practice of partner acrobatics.

Dynamic tricks in L-Basing (Icarian, Whips, Whip-pops) is what I practice the most and love to share with the world. ACROVINYASA, Partner Acrobatics, LEAP and Yoga TT´s are some of the programs that I have learned from.

Scott & Michaela
(main con)

Scott and Michaela teach acrobatics and don’t like talking about themselves, especially in the 3rd person. However they realise this isn’t particularly useful for someone deciding whether or not to attend one of their workshops…

Also known as Acro Misco, they have been doing acrobatics for over a decade. Before they began their glorious partnership, Scott spent his free time pretending to be Spider-Man and Michaela was a cheerleader until she realised that Scott was the only person she wanted to throw her around.

Living in Manchester UK without a regular coach, the self taught duo have developed a unique style of training, namely learning all the ways not to do things so that you don’t have to. They’ve spent the last few years travelling far and wide to learn from the best teachers around to keep developing and learning.

Over the last decade Misco have been building up the acrobatic community in their home town of Manchester and now they want to spread their acro love around the world.

Zinzi & Evertjan
(main con)

Zinzi & Evertjan are a Dutch/Belgian hand to hand duo. They graduated from Codarts/ACAPA (taught by Wybren) and have been performing for 10 years now. They’ve worked a lot with their act, in cabarets and with for example 7 fingers.

They also enjoyed various small projects, working with live music and performing on the streets. Evertjan was a base in banquine before and they have a lot of experience in group work as they’ve been with compagnie XY for 5 years. They recently founded their own collective Common Ground.

Verena Lanena
(main con)

Verena is one of the few Flyer-teachers in a community where most teachers are bases or couples. But don't ya worry, she is very well able to tell bases as well as flyers how to do their job. ;)

Verena has been doing Partner Acrobatics for about 10 years and teaching for 8 years. She has always enjoyed flying and being tossed through the air and after discovering Acro she immediately knew it was her thing. Her background is in Aerobic Gymnastics and Figure Skating and she has been doing loads of other sports like martial arts, trampoline and gymnastics but nothing has kept her thrilled like Acro. She has a wide experience in teaching since she has been teaching children for competitions since her early teens.

She is very problem focused and can give you good advice but she won't be easy on you. Some people value a compliment from her like their dearest treasure on the top shelf.

Paul Griffioen
(main con)

This amazing acrobat, incredible teacher and wonderful human being is coming to Easter Acro ³ to help improve Your Acro. He understands the scary things the flyer is going through - because HE FLIES this stuff! He is not such a big base, but for some reason the tricks work on him - SCREAMS of TECHNIQUE! He's been teaching and performing longer than I have been into this stuff - over 20 years! And he shares it in a fun environment - As those that attended before will be well aware, it is a no-brainer!

Johan Sjölund (Kaaos Kaamos)
(main con)

Johan is a circus artist from Sweden, currently living in Brussels, Belgium. He specializes in H2H, banquine and, what he and his company calls, “group stuff”. After growing up with weight-lifting and different forms of acrobatics, Johan started circus studies and continued that for 6 years. 4 of which were with partner acrobatics as main discipline. He spent 2 years each in the following schools: Cirkus Cirkör gymnasium in Stockholm, ACAPA in Tilburg and ESAC in Brussels. After his studies, Johan and 5 other acrobats formed the company Kaaos Kaamos that has been touring their show for over 3 years now. Aswell as performing other shows such as PIT by TENT and (O)Synligt by Cirkus Elvira.

Apart from performing, Johan has worked as a teacher giving regular classes in Stockholm, Brussels and Mechelen. And at conventions giving workshops in the style of madness that is Kaaos Kaamos. Because crashing safely is fun!

If you can’t find Johan on the training floor, he’s probably in the kitchen cooking together some monstrosity of food while shaking after his 5th cup of coffee and probably wearing some kind of glitter.

Gonzalo, Lisandro, Pauline & Liam
(main con)

We are Gonzalo, Lisandro, Pauline and Liam. We come from Argentina, Switzerland and Ireland. We worked as two duos before making our quartet at C.R.A.C. circus school in Lomme in the north of France in September 2018. We are currently in our second year being taught by Mahmoud Louertani and Abdeliazide Senhadji. We train Banquine, Duo, Trio and Hungarian Teeterboard.

Jonathan & Saila
(main con)

Saila is a circus teacher from Helsinki, Finland. She has been training partner acrobatics for over 7 years. Her specialities are partner acrobatics, icarian, acro yoga and aerial acrobatics.
Before finding circus she has been training various sports like diving, synchronized swimming and volleyball. She started to teach sports in 2006 and 2016 she graduated with a Master of Sport Science major in sport pedagogy.

Jonathan is a partner acrobatics base and teacher from Manchester. His speciality is H2H and dynamics. Last year he performed in his first professional 14 person show ‘Relentlessly Single’. This was performed at the Lowry in Manchester.
Before taking up partner acrobatics, he has accrued experience teaching a variety of physical activities, including sailing, shooting, pole dancing and judo. He has just finished a PhD in Particle Physics, with plans to move into circus full time.

Tom
(main con)

Tom is a professional circus artist and teachers who started training Dutch acrobatics, upgraded it with Ukrainian technique, refined his work under tutelage of various experienced coaches and incorporated elements of dance and martial arts in his movement. Some of his teachers are: Jim and Det, Wybren Wouda (ACAPA; Codarts), Slava Kukuskin (Kiev; Moscow; ESAC).

Tom was born as the only German who is not on time, in Bavaria (Germany). After trying almost every sport he got hooked to acrobatics at the age of 18. During his chemical engineering studies he started performing in various groups, duos, trios all over Europe

After an “early-life-crisis” in 2014 he decided to quit his studies, (which made his parents really happy) and went as a guest student to the circus school ACAPA in Tilburg where he graduated together with Ayla Moes who is currently one of his acrobatic partners. Since then, he has been performing in various festivals, theatres, operas, circuses and dance shows amongst others.

His combined lack of discipline, natural ability to avoid hard work, love for comedy series, excessive sun bathing and awesome hair style, have created the performer and teacher he is today.

Confirmed handstand teachers

Isaiah Van Eetvelde
(pre-con & main con)

I started gymnastics when I was 5 years old and immediately got the taste of it. Until 2016 I competed in acrobatic gymnastics in Belgium.

After that I got more and more interested in standing on my hands, because of the never ending challenge in it. It's a distinct world that keeps mind and body continuously occupied and in which new elements can constantly be discovered, both static and dynamic.

Not a day goes by where I'm not 'handstanding' myself. I started teaching handstand 2 years ago because I love sharing my passion.

Katrijn De Wilde
(pre-con & main con)

Katrijn is a passionate handbalancer and partneracrobat. She started gymnastics at the age of 5 in gymnastics club De Greves at Hamme where she also started with acrogym shortly afterwards. She obtained her Master's degree in Sports and Movement Sciences at KU Leuven in 2016 and also successfully completed the specific teacher training course.

Now her passion lies in giving personal coaching and handbalancing workshops. For about 10 years now Katrijn is focusing on handbalancing so yes she is more comfortable on her hands than on her feet.

Christina in several handstand shapes

Christina Markouli
(main con)

Conceived in London (UK), born in Athens (GR) and raised by the beautiful Greek coast, my current home is Brussels (BE) where my inner sunlight needs a change of perspective to survive the long and grey winters. That's how handstands came into my life & why I am ever since addicted! Learning to handbalance as an adult has been a bumpy road full of fear, self-doubt and judgment if this is a skill I should be going after or if this was too crazy of a thought.

Luckily I chose crazy and handstands have been since 6 years part of my daily life. 3 years ago I decided to start sharing my knowledge with others having as main focus to deliver accuracy, understanding efficient alignment and acquiring a good technique that will greatly facilitate your handstand evolution.
